Who we serve is very important, and we do have to reflect and look back if we are serving for the right purpose.
Let me miss out the students who are in school and studying. Ok, somehow you serve ur parents (if they are paying for your school fees) they just want you to have good results after all the money they have invested on you.
Now when you start looking for a job, I always advise to serve a good boss. A happy employer = happy employee, vice verse.
We spend probably at least 12 hours at/for work. Waking up to prepare (1hr, some more) + traveling to work (30min-1hr), 9 hrs of work (standard including lunch break), 1 hr to go home etc.. 12 hours is for your job for the majority of us (we are not taitais)
So if you have a bad boss, you spend half your life since working upset. Dragging your feet to work daily is not fun, not to say for years(if you can tahan)
Of cos, its not all on the employers' part but employees play a huge role too. Your performance and attitude contribute to how well you are treated.
We are more likely to work for the same company a much longer time if we enjoy the kinda work and environment.
Personally, I do what makes me happy. We dont have much time to frown.... :)
